About Jeanne
Instructor Jeanne Barkey, began her study of Iyengar yoga in 1985 and began teaching in 1989. Since 1996 she has traveled to Pune, India regularly (ten separate trips) for direct study with Yogacharya BKS Iyengar, Dr. Geeta Iyengar, and Prashant Iyengar at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute. On ten other occasions she studied with Guruji or Geetaji in convention settings in North America and Europe. She also continues to train with senior instructors in the U.S. including Kristin Chirhart and Lee Sverkerson in Minneapolis. She is Iyengar certified at the Intermediate Jr. II level.
